The 24-year old swingman spent this seaon in Poland and Finland, playing also in the FIBA Champions league with great success. The American point guard spent this season in Israel with Rishon, where he averaged 15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 16 games, shooting with 41% behind the 3-point line. Congratulations to Octagon Europe point guard Ken Brown and Octagon Europe coach Vaggelis Ziagkos who won the FIBA West Asian Championship with Al Riyadi. The Lebanese champions prevailed in the final of the tournament against Petrochimi of Iran with 83-69. The American point guard had 11 points and 10 assists in the finals for Al Riyadi and helped his team win the the title.
Octagon Europe welcomes the American forward Jordan Semple to our agency. The 24-year old player is dominating the league in Bulgaria (2nd scorer and top rebounder), averaging 21.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 17 games so far for Akademik. Semple is on his 2nd professional season in Europe, as he spent last year in Spin, being one of the top player in LEB Silver, where he averaged 15.5 points and 9.4 rebounds. Octagon Europe center Cheikh Sane will continue his career in Greece, as he signed a contract with Koroivos until the end of the season, with an option for the season 2017-18. The Senegalese big man started the year in Denmark with Naestved, where he won the Danish Cup and he averaged 12 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18 games.
Octagon Europe is happy to welcome the American swingman Kyle Weaver to our agency. The 30-year old player has extensive experience both in NBA (Oklahoma City and Charlotte), as well as in Europe where he has platyed in Germany, Italy, Israel while this season he playhs for Torun in Poland. Octagon Europe center Ondrej Balvin is returning to the Spanish ACB, as he signed a contract with Estudiantes until the end of the season. The Czech big man started the season in Germany for Bayern Munich and has now returned in Spain, where he had spent the last 6 years , playing for Sevilla. Last season Balvin averaged 9.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 34 games in the ACB.
Octagon Europe swingman Tariq KIrksay returns to the Spanish ACB. The 39-year old player agreed terms with Tenerife until the end of the season. He is no stranger to the league as he has spent 6 seasons of his career in Spain, having wore the jerseys of Badalona, Estudiantes and Sevilla with great success in the past.
Octagon guard Mustapha Shakur returns to Germany, as he signs with Wurzburg in the German BBL until the end of the season. The American player is no stranger to the German league, having played for Ludwigsburg last season. The Arizona graduate started the season in Turkey with Afyon, before moving back to Germany.
Octagon Europe point guard Devon Van Oostrum will play in the Adriatic league for the remainder of the season, as he signs a contract with MZT Skopje. The Great Britain international started the year in Greece, where he averaged 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 26 minutes average time in 11 games for Koroivos. The 23-year old ex-Baskonia player will move to Skopje during the weekend.
Octagon Europe player Giannis Antetokounmpo will become the youngest ever non-American to be a starter in an NBA All-Star game, as the Milwaukee Bucks forward was voted to be in the starting line-up of the Eastern Conference. The Greek Freak, currently in his 4th NBA season, is averaging amazing numbers (23.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.8 steals, 2.1 blocks), being his team's leader in all of those statistical categories. An amazing performance from Octagon Europe guard KC Rivers led Panathinaikos to break Olympiacos' home advantage and qualify for the final of the Greek Cup. The American swingman was simply unstoppable, finishing the game with 27 points (plus 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist), adding up to an efficiency index of 29. This was the first win of Panathinaikos this season against their arch rivals after 4 games.
Octagon Europe center Alen Omic is returning to Spain, as he signed a contract with Unicaja Malaga. The best center of Eurocup for 2015-16 is no stranger to ACB, as he had excellent year with Gran Canaria before moving to Euroleague for Anadolu Efes. He now returns in Spain, where he will help the Andalucian team both in ACB and Eurocup, until the end of the season.
Octagon Europe coach Vaggelis Ziagkos is moving to Lebanon, as he signed a contract to join the reigning champions Al Riyade technical staff. The Greek specialist has worked for many years in AEK (as head coach, assistant of the men's and youtht teams of the club), having won the title in A2 in 2014-15. It will be his first time outside of Greece, joining a top level team. Good luck Vaggelis.
Octagon guard T.J. Bray returns to Europe, as he signs 1.5 years contract with Brussels in Belgium. The left-handed player had signed in Germany last summer, but an injury during off season forced him to stay out until now, but he returns strong and will move to the Belgian capital. Bray spent last season in Italy, averaging 14.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in Casale.
Octagon Europe big man Nino Johnson signed a contract with Czarni in Poland until the end of the season. The American player started the year in Finland and Champions league with Kataja, where he averaged 12.1 points and 7.7 rebounds in 11 games. Last season Johnson played in Japan for his rookie season averaging double-double (12.1 points, 11.1 rebounds).
Octagon Europe point guard Rashaun Broadus moves to Germany, as he signed a contract with Rasta Vechta in the BBL until the end of the season. The American player who also holds Albanian passport started the year with Lietuvos Rytas in Lithuania, before moving to Vechta. Broadus will play in Germany for the first time in his pro career, until now he has played in Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Romania.
