Antetokounmpo voted in the 2nd All-NBA team

Congratulations to Octagon Europe player Giannis Antetokounmpo who was selected in the 2nd All-NBA team for the 2016-17 season. Following a fantastic year where the Greek Freak led Milwaukee in all the statistical categories, was voted as an All-Star starter and became the only NBA player in history to feature in the top20 of all major statistical tables, it was enivatable that the 22-year old Greek international would add this tremendous honour to his resunme. Way to go Giannis!

D.J. Cooper is the MVP of the French LNB

Congratulations to Octagon Europe point guard D.J. Cooper for being named as the MVP of the French league. The American player was rightfully voted for the award, as he led a tremendous regular season with Pau Orthez, averaging 13.3 points and 11.1 assists, being the top passer in the whole of Europe. Cooper also had 3 triple-doubles already this season, showing his skills and versatility that put him to the top level of point guards outside the NBA. Congratulations D.J.!

Georgios Printezis selected in best Euroleague Line Up

Congratulations to Octagon Europe power forward Georgios Printezis for being voted as Euroleague's Best Line Up for the 2016-17 season. The Greek international had another amazing season in the top level, being Olympiacos' leading scorer and paving the way for the Greek champions to return to the Euroleague Final 4. Printezis averaged 12.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 30 games, verifying once more that he is the best player in his position in Europe in the last few years.

Adam Hanga voted Euroleague's Best Defender

Congratulations to Octagon Europe guard/forward Adam Hanga for being voted as Euroleague's best Defender for the 2016-17 season. The Hungarian international and San Antonio Spurs draftee was once more the defensive power of Baskonia, helping his team move once more to the top8. Hanga averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks in 33 games for the Basque team.

Assists master D.J. Cooper joins Octagon Europe

Octagon Europe is happy to welcome Europe's top passer this season, as D.J. Cooper joins our agency. The Ohio graduate is dominating the French league, being the only player in the european market that averages double-digits in assists (10.7 per game), added to his 14.1 points and 5.6 rebounds that he contributes for Pau Orthez. He has also produced none less than 3 triple-doubles this season and a career-high 18 assists (on 2 different games). Brown & Ziagkos win WABA title for Riyadi

Congratulations to Octagon Europe point guard Ken Brown and Octagon Europe coach Vaggelis Ziagkos who won the FIBA West Asian Championship with Al Riyadi. The Lebanese champions prevailed in the final of the tournament against Petrochimi of Iran with 83-69. The American point guard had 11 points and 10 assists in the finals for Al Riyadi and helped his team win the the title.

Octagon Europe welcomes the American forward Jordan Semple to our agency. The 24-year old player is dominating the league in Bulgaria (2nd scorer and top rebounder), averaging 21.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 17 games so far for Akademik. Semple is on his 2nd professional season in Europe, as he spent last year in Spin, being one of the top player in LEB Silver, where he averaged 15.5 points and 9.4 rebounds. Cheikh Sane signs with Koroivos in Greece

Octagon Europe center Cheikh Sane will continue his career in Greece, as he signed a contract with Koroivos until the end of the season, with an option for the season 2017-18. The Senegalese big man started the year in Denmark with Naestved, where he won the Danish Cup and he averaged 12 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18 games.

Octagon Europe center Ondrej Balvin is returning to the Spanish ACB, as he signed a contract with Estudiantes until the end of the season. The Czech big man started the season in Germany for Bayern Munich and has now returned in Spain, where he had spent the last 6 years , playing for Sevilla. Last season Balvin averaged 9.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 34 games in the ACB.

Octagon Europe point guard Devon Van Oostrum will play in the Adriatic league for the remainder of the season, as he signs a contract with MZT Skopje. Octagon Europe player Giannis Antetokounmpo will become the youngest ever non-American to be a starter in an NBA All-Star game, as the Milwaukee Bucks forward was voted to be in the starting line-up of the Eastern Conference. The Greek Freak, currently in his 4th NBA season, is averaging amazing numbers (23.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.8 steals, 2.1 blocks), being his team's leader in all of those statistical categories. Amazing KC Rivers sends Panathinaikos to final

An amazing performance from Octagon Europe guard KC Rivers led Panathinaikos to break Olympiacos' home advantage and qualify for the final of the Greek Cup. The American swingman was simply unstoppable, finishing the game with 27 points (plus 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist), adding up to an efficiency index of 29. This was the first win of Panathinaikos this season against their arch rivals after 4 games.
